Product Specifics
Sadly, we do not recommend lashing clients with sensitive eyes. Sensitive adhesives simply contain less Cyanoacrylate product, which tends to be the product the client is sensitive to. Therefore, even will a smaller amount of Cyanoacrylate, the client is still likely to remain sensitive and this can result in irritation or reaction. With less Cyanoacrylate within an adhesive, it also takes longer to cure, so forces the Lash Technician to need more time to create the set. The lashes often last for a shorter time too, resulting in an unhappy client due to poor retention. Therefore we do not feel it’s profitable to work with a sensitive adhesive.
Classic Lashes are single lash extensions that are applied to one healthy natural lash. They create a more natural style of lashes, but can still look full depending on the quantity of natural lashes the client has.
Volume lashes consist of finer/thinner extensions and therefore multiple extensions can be applied to one healthy natural lash, creating thicker/fuller looking sets. You can choose to hand-make them with your tweezers (Russian Volume technique), or you can purchase pre-made / pro-made fans, W Lashes or YY lashes which also create fuller styles, without the worry of learning to create hand-made fans.
For hand-made Russian Volume, we recommend you undertake training to understand safe weights and to avoid causing damage to the clients natural lashes.
This really is personal preference. We stock a variety of brands here at Freckle, all of which will have a choice of colours. Colours can be mixed and matched to create bespoke shades for your client.
For deeper, richer colours that last for longer on the skin, you may want to opt for a Hybrid Brow Stain or Hybrid Dye, which will stain the skin for up to 7-10 days and dye the brow hairs for up to 6 weeks.
Yes, some of our products are vegan/cruelty free. This information can be found on the product listing.
Professionals can choose to use a Super Bonder at the end of the treatment. This creates a flexible bond and can help protect the bond of the adhesive between the extension and natural lash.
To help clients get the best from their lash extensions treatment, its very important they understand the importance of keeping them clean. We recommend retailing Lash Shampoo to clients, to maintain cleanliness and the health of the natural lash.
These are also sometimes known by different names too. Hot Wax = Non-Strip wax. Warm Wax = Strip-Wax
Hard Wax or Non-Strip Wax needs to be heated at a slightly higher temperature for melting. It can to be more gentle on the skin, so is great for sensitive clients. It also tends to be used on more sensitive areas such as the intimate areas, underarms and upper lip, although may people love this wax for brow waxing too! No waxing strip is required to remove the wax. Simple allow it to cool slightly and use the wax itself, to remove it from the skin.
Warm Wax or Strip Wax is heated at a slightly lower temperature and is available in a variety of options such as Sensitive, Crème, Honey and Gelee. It is often used for brow waxing, and for larger areas such as the legs. A wax strip is required to be applied to the wax immediately after application. The wax strip is then removed quickly from the skin, which takes the wax with it.
It is VERY important you ALWAYS test the temperature of the wax before applying it to your client.
Yes! We have a variety of training kits options for Eyelash Extensions, Brow Lamination, Waxing & Tinting and Lash Lifting. If you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for, or would like to create your own bespoke kit, simply get in touch.
Common detail about using our products
Technical Information
Our kits are suitable for students who are undertaking training with a qualified educator. Our products are not suitable for home-use. We recommend you follow the instructions you have received on your training course. Your educator will explain how to use the products safely.
Metal re-usable tools should be disinfected and sanitised to avoid cross-contamination and cross-infection.
You can remove any visible traces of adhesive using a Tweezer Cleaner product. We stock these here at Freckle.
Next, soak in medical grade disinfectant, such as Barbicide for at least 10 minutes. We advise to place a cotton pad at the bottom of the jar before submerging your tweezers, to reduce damaging the tips.
Rinse the tweezers and ensure they are thoroughly dried.
You can use an Autoclave or a UV steriliser to sterilise the tweezers. Store in a clean container to protect them from dust and dirt.
Lash Extensions should always be applied to ONE healthy, natural lash, so that the natural lash can continue to grow freely without any discomfort for the client, or damage to the natural lash. There is a lot to learn when it comes to safe lashing, so we always recommend taking a reputable training course to learn how to safely apply lash extensions.
Lash Extensions should only be removed by a qualified professional. Trying to remove them at home on yourself, with non-professional products will likely result in causing damage to your natural lashes or eye.
If you have undertaken a reputable course, you should have been taught this during training. If you were not taught how to do this, please contact your educator and ask for further training.
Professional products should be used to safely remove lash extensions to avoid causing damage to the natural lashes or eye.
Absolutely! Its one of the most important steps, to ensure the condition of the lashes remain healthy. Lash Lifting is a chemical treatment and can easily dehydrate the lashes. Step 3 adds moisture and nourishment to the lashes to keep them hydrated and healthy. Don’t miss this step, even if you were taught its not needed! Nourishing oil or Step 3 should be the last step of any Lash Lift treatment (after tinting)
